As a clinical psychologist at ���ϸ����� Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to my patients. My approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a well-researched form of psychotherapy that has proven effective for a wide range of challenges. I am passionate about helping individuals understand their patterns of thinking and behavior, enabling them to implement meaningful changes that improve their lives.

With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and everyday life challenges. My extensive training and expertise in CBT allow me to tailor scientifically proven techniques to meet each patient’s unique needs and circumstances. I have also taught courses in psychotherapy and supervised trainees in psychiatry, psychology, and social work, further honing my skills and knowledge in the field.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in research, particularly focusing on the psychosocial aspects of chronic kidney disease. My first award was for developing and testing a CBT treatment to address depression in individuals with kidney failure. This project had a significant impact on both the patients and the broader field, solidifying my commitment to clinical research. I have since collaborated with leading nephrologists and researchers nationwide to develop interventions for depression, adherence, insomnia, and pain—common symptoms experienced by those with kidney failure. I am also the lead editor of the volume “Psychosocial Aspects of Chronic Kidney Disease” and continue to work on projects aimed at easing the burden of chronic kidney disease.

My journey into psychology was driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. My educational background and early experiences in the field inspired me to pursue a career that combines clinical practice with research.
