Rooted in a family legacy of medical excellence, I grew up in Iraq, where my parents dedicated their lives to primary care—my father as an internist and my mother as a pediatrician. Their unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of their patients profoundly influenced my decision to pursue a career in medicine, particularly internal medicine, which I see as the perfect blend of analytical problem-solving and comprehensive, long-term care. This specialty allows me to build meaningful relationships with patients, manage complex conditions, and coordinate care across various settings, honoring my family's legacy of improving lives through expertise and compassion.

In my practice at ���ϸ����� Langone Medical Associates—Tarrytown, I am driven by the privilege of being entrusted with my patients' health. I have a special interest in managing obesity and overweight, as these are significant contributors to metabolic disorders such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. To enhance my skills and provide evidence-based care, I pursued board certification in obesity medicine, adding to my years of experience in managing chronic diseases across diverse populations and settings.

My efforts have been recognized with honors such as the Society of General Internal Medicine Quality and Innovation Award in 2023 and a certificate in primary care leadership from the American College of Physicians Leadership Academy in 2021. I was also elected a fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2022 and served as the president of the Society of General Internal Medicine Mid-Atlantic Region in 2024. In addition, I contribute to multiple national committees focused on performance improvement and healthcare quality, continuously striving to elevate the standard of care for all patients.
