My fascination with sleep—what it is, why we need it, and how it works—began in childhood and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. I spent countless hours devouring every resource I could find on the subject, which, at the time, wasn’t much. As my curiosity deepened, I realized I wanted to dedicate my career to understanding and improving sleep.

I ultimately chose to pursue a PhD in clinical health psychology. This path allowed me to combine a strong foundation in biology with the opportunity to deeply connect with patients—a combination that has been more fulfilling than I ever imagined. Sleep touches every aspect of our lives, and the behaviors, routines, and even fears surrounding it are deeply personal. I feel privileged to be invited into my patients’ worlds to help them navigate these challenges.

Although all of my patients struggle with sleep, their experiences and the ways these issues affect their lives are unique. I strive to approach patients with the same individuality, tailoring treatment strategies collaboratively and in alignment with their specific needs and goals. Helping people overcome their challenges with sleep is one of the most rewarding and meaningful aspects of my work.

There’s a saying: “You can’t build a house with just a hammer—you need an entire toolbox.” I feel fortunate to be part of the multidisciplinary team at ���ϸ����� Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy-Sleep Center, where we are dedicated to providing our patients with all the necessary tools for better health and wellbeing.
