About Me
I am an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with a focus on shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee conditions.
After earning a medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as a summa cum laude graduate and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, I completed my orthopedic surgery residency at 黑料福利社 Langone Orthopedics. There, I received multiple honors, including the prestigious Ralph Lusskin Senior Resident Teaching Award, serving as Executive Chief Resident, and recognition as the AAOS Resident Member of the Month. I pursued a sports medicine fellowship at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush, serving as assistant team physician for prominent teams including the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Steel, and DePaul Blue Demons.
My dedication to orthopedics is rooted in a lifetime of athletics as a three-sport high school athlete and an Olympic length triathlete. An injury requiring surgery during my residency endowed me with an empathetic understanding of patients鈥 experiences, driving my commitment to individualized and compassionate care. With a focus on enabling patients to return to their passions, I am adept at employing both surgical and non-surgical techniques.
I am involved in orthopedic research, contributing to over 100 peer-reviewed publications with accolades such as the Marian Frauenthal Sloane Clinical Research Award and the Bernard R. Bach Jr. Award for Best Research at Rush. My commitment to the future of orthopedics extends to mentoring emerging surgeons and presenting groundbreaking research at major conferences nationwide, and I am an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
Emphasizing evidence-based, patient-centered care, I am dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes and returning athletes to peak performance through both surgical interventions and innovative non-surgical modalities including physical therapy, holistic medicine, and orthobiologic injections. My patients can expect a thoughtful, personalized approach aimed at restoring them to the activities they love most.
