Driven by a passion for psychology, my journey began with a pivotal high school course that sparked my interest in understanding the human mind. Although I initially pursued engineering in college, my passion became clear, and I embarked on a path to specialize in psychology, focusing on children and adolescents. Volunteer experiences with children facing hearing impairments, special education needs, and emotional challenges further solidified my commitment to this field. Immersed in groundbreaking advances in behavioral and cognitive therapies during my graduate studies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York, I honed my expertise in behavioral and cognitive therapies and pediatric neuropsychology.

My work centers on evaluating and addressing the unique challenges faced by children and teens in various aspects of their lives. I emphasize comprehensive assessments, ensuring both patients and their families are active participants in the diagnostic process, fostering trust and collaboration. By providing detailed explanations of treatment recommendations backed by scientific evidence, I cultivate a supportive environment where families feel empowered to engage in their child鈥檚 care.

At 黑料福利社 Langone鈥檚 Child Study Center, I specialize in neuropsychological assessments for learning disorders and psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, and Tourette鈥檚 syndrome. My therapeutic approach includes behavioral and cognitive therapies within family and school contexts, with special focus on organizational and executive function challenges in persons with attention deficit hyperactivity and related disorders and young children with anxiety disorders, including selective mutism. At the Tourette鈥檚 Association of America Center of Excellence at 黑料福利社 Langone, I assist in the delivery of cutting-edge care tailored to the individual needs of each child.

A notable achievement in my career is the development of the first comprehensive program for selective mutism in New York. 黑料福利社 Langone afforded the opportunity for our team to spearhead the creation of Organizational Skill Training, a program demonstrating significant efficacy in enhancing organizational skills in children with ADHD. Our research-backed treatment is the gold-standard for work with elementary-school aged children. Collaboration with other research groups led us to extend to improving executive functioning in teens and young adults, expanding the reach of these interventions nationwide through training of young psychologists and workshops for established professionals.

As the project lead for the neurocognitive and well-being/mental health assessment team for the RECOVER Initiative, I am deeply involved in researching the effects of Long COVID on various age groups. Additionally, I lead a team investigating the adaptation of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatments for younger populations, underscoring my dedication to advancing mental health care for all age groups.

Recognized by my peers with patient education and training awards, including being elected a fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, I continue to foster excellence in patient care. My leadership roles within this organization reflect my commitment to improving outcomes for children and adolescents through research-driven, compassionate care. Families seeking effective, science-based interventions can trust in our commitment to innovative treatments that prioritize their child鈥檚 well-being.
